Terminal Expansion Phase 1 Begins

Fort Worth, Texas – March 5, 2025 Wildcat Midstream, LP is excited to share a series of key developments that mark a transformative step forward for our operations and growth strategy. Wildcat has broken ground on the previously announced Phase 1 of the expansion of the Wildcat Terminal in Helper, Utah.

The design, engineering and permits have been secured, and civil work has begun to lay additional track, activate additional transloaders and construct the required electrical upgrades for the increased volumes.

Phase 1 will increase Wildcats current loading capacity from 42,000 barrels per day to 66,000 barrels per day with an in-service date of July 2025.

Phase 2 of the expansion further increases the capacity to approximately 140,000 barrels per day. Design, engineering, permitting and materials are secure. Estimated in service date of 2Q2026.

Phase 2 will soon be seeking alignment on the commercial agreements/ commitments required to underwrite the investment capital for the project.

Wildcat is the Basin’s only turnkey terminal operator offering Producers a complete range of logistics services from wellhead to railhead coordinating, trucking, railcar loading, railcar leases, offloading and ultimate market sales.

Wildcat Midstream has also secured multiple long-term agreements that will reinforce its premier position in the Uinta Basin. These agreements include a Class 1 rail carrier, the largest rail offloading terminal in Louisiana, and wax sales commitments to a world class refiner on the Gulf Coast, supported by partnerships with key upstream producers in the Uinta Basin. These contracts position Wildcat Midstream for continued growth, fostering greater access to various market centers and optimizing the Producers netbacks for the Uinta Basin’s premium-grade waxy crude oil. This marks another important milestone in Wildcat Midstream’s mission to support both the producers and local communities in Utah through sustainable growth and long-term value creation.

As part of this expansion effort, Wildcat Midstream has purchased 422 acres of land just to the north of the Wildcat Loadout facility in Helper, UT. This strategic move is expected to bolster the export of the region’s unique yellow and black wax crude oil, which has seen production levels double in recent years. Jim Finley, partner of Wildcat Midstream, emphasized the significance of this expansion for the Uinta Basin’s economic development, highlighting the positive impact on the Ute Indian Tribe, Carbon County, and the State of Utah. Wildcat Midstream, founded in 2018, is a leading terminal operator in Utah, specializing in the purchasing, marketing, and transloading of Utah Wax. Current operations include 14 transloaders, 1,309 rail cars, three locomotives, and 43 employees split between Carbon County, UT, and Fort Worth, TX.
